Lee Blaustone

Sommelier

An industry veteran for more than ten years, Lee Blaustone is a Nashville native who worked in several of the city’s most popular restaurants before working for chef Frank Pullara first at Culaccino as head sommelier and now at Bestia Mare, where he brings his love of great wine and well-rounded industry knowledge to the new concept.

Working in restaurants from a young age, Blaustone is passionate about the Music City hospitality industry. He has worked as a server at Del Friscos Grille, a sophisticated chophouse in the Gulch, as well as Hathorn, West Nashville's approachable fine dining restaurant and bar. While waiting tables, Blaustone also began studying wine theory and tasting in his spare time. He continued his education and joined Downtown Franklin hotspot Culaccino as both a server and head sommelier, where he grew the wine program into one of the best in the region. Now at Bestia Mare, Blaustone is committed to providing world-class wine service and enhancing guest experience while continuing to develop an extensive and impressive wine list with both personal favorites and unfamiliar labels. His tenured experience at Culaccino made Blaustone the perfect candidate for head sommelier at Bestia Mare and continuing to work with the same team and owners was an easy decision for him, as well.

Blaustone is a member of the Court of Master Sommeliers and GuildSomm International. When he’s not pairing Cabernets, he enjoys cooking with his wife, playing disc golf, and showing off his skills on the tennis court.
